It's that time of year again..... :-)

We got up early and took the kiddos to see Santa this morning.
(Yeah,I know!! Isn't it crazy that it is that time of year already? Boy time flies!)

Lundyn and Sutton loved Santa!!

Sutton's shirt came undone in this pic. Love his little belly button showing! lol.

Lundyn looks like he is sucking his thumb in this pic. There is nothing wrong with that of course, but he has never sucked his thumb before so who knows what he was doing here. lol.

I love the Santa we saw today! He is really nice and good with the kids.

We have been to see him before, but for some reason we didn't see his last year.
We took Lundyn to visit him when he was 7 months old. He looks so tiny in these pics!!!

The Santa is even in the same chair as he was sitting in today! :-)

Like I said we forgot to see that Santa last year, but we did take the kiddos to see another Santa

It is crazy how big the boys are getting now!

I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!
I am going to go to a bunch of Holiday bazaars. :-) (Can you tell I adore Christmas time??! Nothing wrong with Halloween or anything. I love celebrating every holiday, but I LOVE Thanksgiving/Christmas time!! Love it!!!! :-)

What are you doing this weekend?? :-)

xoxo!!!!!!!!

Our computer has been acting wacky lately(You turn it on and a couple minutes later it turns it self off etc. Frustrating since the computer is only a year or so old.)
Hubby seems to have fixed it this morning **fingers crossed** so I thought I would quickly post a few Halloween pics while the thing is still working. lol.
Hopefully it stays fixed because I really want to post some pics from our summer. I would hate to lose the pics if the computer doesn't work anymore. (That happened to us with our other computer. We had tons of pictures saved on the computer and the hard drive got totally wiped!! Aagh!! We lost all our pics. :-( That still makes me sad thinking about it and hopefully it doesn't happen again!!)

Anyway, Lundyn and Sutton had such a fun Halloween!! The kiddos were really into Halloween this year. They loved all the costumes, treats and pumpkins :-)

Lundyn was a Doctor and Sutton was his "patient" He had a skeleton costume so he looked like he was getting an x-ray. lol. We wanted to have him dressed in one of those tiny robe thingys you wear when you are in the hospital. (You know the ones where your booty shows? lol) We figured it would be way too cold for him to wear something like that! We wouldn't want him to freeze his butt off. ;-)

Sutton was quite thrilled with Lundyn's stethoscope

(sorry some pics are blurry. Our camera we got last Christmas has decided to break too. lol. It is really hard to take a picture with it and have it turn out half way decent. Oh,well. that is life I guess :-)

Lundyn cracks me up. He has such a personality.

He looks like he is a worn out, over worked Doctor here.
He has the weight of the world on his shoulders. lol

I made Sutton a hat with a skull on on to wear with his costume, but of course when it came time to go to the trunk or treat I couldn't find it anywhere! So i just had to grab a random plain black hat.

(You see that blanket Sutton is holding? I made it for him a few months ago and he is totally obsessed with it. He just loves it. He has millions of other blankets, but this is by far his favorite. He HAS to have it at bedtime :-) He goes right to sleep in his bed at night if he has it and sleeps until morning)

I finally took a pic of the banner Michelle sent me for the swap we did(artsy mama's sweet and sinister swap.Love Kari's swaps!)

I didn't take many pics of other Halloween decorations around the house. I didn't go too overboard since we are remodeling right now and everything is in the in between stage right now.

I wanted to cover up the thermostat so we hung up a vintage candle holder and I put some lace, ribbon, vintage beads, bracelets, etc. on it. Now you can't see the thermostat at all! (You can still reach it easily at the side though to turn it up or down)

Dollar store crows resting on top along with a faux mini pumpkin I glittered and decorated with vintage buttons and pipe cleaners.

I made that sign above the door for 50 cents the other day! I used salvaged wood from under the porch(hubby cut it in half for me so I could make two signs) I spray painted it lightly with a little white paint I had. I sanded the edges a bit to give it a distressed look. Then I stuck on chalk board decals from the dollar store. The sign on the inside of the door says "have a good day!" and the one one the outside of the door says "Welcome". I love them! Two signs for a dollar! Yay :-)
I will have to take closer pictures of the signs.

I got some darling big faux pumpkins(other one not in the pic) at Target the other day(on sale after Halloween) Super cheap. I love the white, distressed look. I was meaning to paint some orange faux pumpkins we had to look like that, but ran out of time. Target saved me the trouble. lol.

Took some pics of the kiddos the other morning(My in-laws sent a box of shirts for the boys so I thought I would take their pics in some of the shirts)

It was a couple minutes before Sutton's nap so he wasn't really as into the photo session as he usually is. lol. Normally he(and Lundyn) LOVE getting their pictures taken. In fact whenever we pass a display of cameras in a store the boys turn to me a say "Cheese!" lol. No joke.

Hope you have a fabulous day!!

xoxo!!!!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Gosh!! I haven't posted on here in FOREVER! :-)
I still have tons of pics from this Summer I need to post! lol. (I will have to post them later or something)
I haven't posted much lately, but that isn't because I haven't been doing anything. The problem is I have been doing too much lately! I have gone so many places, taken so many pictures of the boys, done so many projects etc. that I don't know WHERE to start! lol.(Can you tell that I am kind overwhelmed at the moment?! :-) I feel like I am on a ride that is going too fast. My Mom and hubby are always telling me to relax and that I try to do too much. )

A super sweet friend of mine wrote to me in an email that other day how how she likes Halloween better then Christmas because it is less stressful. That is true, but if you are a wacky Martha Stewart wannabe like me you to to go overboard no matter what the holiday.
This Halloween we went to 3 different pumpkin patch/petting zoos, made treats for the neighbors, threw a half birthday party for Lundyn, made the boys costumes(I was originally going to make the boys 6 costumes. 3 each,I totally ran out of time because we are way busy completely remodeling the house from top to bottom plus my Dad has been horribly sick in the hospital etc. so I thought maybe one costume each would have to do it this year. I finished their main costumes which were garden gnomes(sooo darling with little black elf boots and leather belt buckles on their belts!!) and they REFUSE to have anything to do with the hat/beards. Oh,well. That is life. They have new costumes now for the trunk or treat and party we are doing on Halloween. :-) I am sure they will like those costumes better. They just aren't wild about the Gnome beards. lol. :-)

Here the boys are wearing their garden gnome hats(before I put the white beards on them.)
They didn't mind them too bad before, but now even Lundyn(who ADORES dressing up and we call "Mr. Drama". I swear he is going to be an actor someday!) hates wearing it and yells"take it off please!!" when I put it on him! lol.

Oh,well :-) I am sure they will look adorable on Halloween in their new costumes :-)
I don't think these are the coustumes they are going to wear on Halloween(unless they pick them) but they found these the other day and wanted to put them on. lol. (Lundyn is a pumpkin and Sutton is a lion)

Lundyn with the Lion mane on :-)

Here are some pics from a pumpkin farm a few minutes away from our house

My sweet boys. I love them soo much!!

Looking for the best pumpkins!

Sutton found a good pumpkin! My strong little man!(No joke he is SUPER strong! We call him our little linebacker. lol. He weighs 35 pounds now! My 4 year old niece weighs 35 pounds and Sutton just turned 1 the end of July. Lundyn looks like he is at least 4 or 5. He is 40 pounds and 40 inches tall. He turned 2 1/2 yesterday.Healthy, tall, strong boys :-)They both talk really well and are super smart too!! Ok,enough with the bragging now. lol. I just love them so much!)

On the hay ride

Not sure why Lundyn looks like he wants to punch me here. lol. He had a great time and is always smiling and having lots of fun.

This petting zoo had lots of animals. Even adorable tiny pomerainian puppies! I didn't get a pic of the puppies, but the Mama and daddy dogs ride the hay ride with you!

They even have food there you can buy to feed the animals

The boys loved the bunnies!

We had a party for Lundyn the other day(Can you believe he is 2 and 1/2 now??! Crazy!!)

Pumpkin chocolate chip cupcakes with chocolate frosting.Yum!

Daddy carved the boys a pumpkin.(Don't mind Lundyn's outfil. lol. It was one that was just for him to nap in. We had to wake him for his party because the guests wanted to hang out with him before they went home! lol. We woke him at 5:30. He takes crazy long naps sometimes!)

My sister brought both the boys toys and boxes with bubbles, candy and toys in them. So nice of her!

I put some pics on flickr the other day so I figured I would put them on here too :-)

Sutton just adores Lundyn!!

Some wacky, random pics I took of me and the boys after hubby went to work the other day. (Wish there was more of the boys and less of me in the pics though! I HATE getting my pic taken! lol)

Sutty and I. (Don't mind how wacko I look. lol!!)

My face looks HUGE in this pic! I used to like my dimples and now I don't really like them anymore. What can you do though? That is life. I am stuck with them.lol

I dyed my hair blackish brown. I was scared it would be too dark, but I really like it!! (Yay for no roots!!)

Some cute pics of the kiddos right after they woke up the other morning :-)

(Lundyn had completely given up the binky before Sutton was born, but when Sutty came it became Lundyn's "security blanket" kind of thing. He only gets it at night time though. He must have found it at snuck it for this pic! lol :-)

The walls look gray in the pictures, but are actutually tan :-)

Close up of the shilouettes I made the other day. Only cost $3 dollars for all of them!!

I glued lots of rhinestones on this big round mirror to cover a chip. I think it looks better then it did before :-)

(You can see in the reflection a HUGE chalkboard on the wall that I made the other day. I will post pics of it later.
I got the frame free at a garage sale! :-)

Oooh!! I almost forgot!! I did two Halloween swaps!! One with the sweet Lilia and one with Michelle. (I can't remember her blog, but she lives an hour away from me and is very nice too :-)
This is some of what I gave

And some of what I recieved! (so fabulous! Thanks again Lilia and Michelle!!)
(I didn't take a pic yet of the main thing Michelle sent me. It is black and white fabric bunting banner and I LOVE it!! )

Hope you have a fabulous Halloween!!

huge hugs!!!

P.S. Don't foorget to visit my other blog too :-)
I adore getting comments on either one!
xoxo!!!

I meant to post this earlier, but it was my birthday on Wednesday and it has been a pretty busy week. My bday was celebrated over several days with different family and friends so that was nice :-)
Anyway...... I finally took a few pics at the Barn boys show last Saturday. I remembered why I usually don't take pics there...I am usually trying to walk around with my sweet, darling(but active) little boys so that doesn't leave much time for taking pictures. lol.

The weather was GORGEOUS! So pretty!!

Not sure why this pic of the barn is sideways, but hey, that's life :-)

Lots of goodies from Tarte at the show

Love this idea of the photo hammered onto salvaged wood!

After Barn Boys we went to a really darling little vintage show with lots of cheap goodies. They are just down the road from the Barn boys and they have lots of great vendors at their show. They have their show the same days as Barn boys so I have been to their sale 3 times this summer too. I didn't take pics of the things for sale at that show ,but I did take a pic of sweet Chelsea Ann and her hubby. Aren't they darling?!

After that we went out to eat and to some stores. So much fun! Chelsea Ann and I gave each other gifts. I adored the things she gave me,but forgot to take a picture.

I hope you have a fabulous week!! huge hugs!!
Britt :-)

Here are some more vacation pics that I promised in the last post :-)
I could show a million more, but I will try and restrain myself. lol.

The boys had a fun time at the pool there. It was a covered outdoor kiddy pool(not deep at all)

The pic below cracks me up because Sutton looks bigger then Lundyn(he was standing on the step in the pool) and only Lundyn has floaties on so it looks like we didn't care about Sutton's safety.

We just didn't think Sutty would be in the pool much. He and I mostly sat at the edge.

He actually liked the pool more then Lundyn though(it was pretty cold water that might be why Lundyn didn't like it much at first)but by the end he seemed to have had fun.

We had lots of fun at parks there.
Sutton is getting really good at standing and walking around. :-)

The kiddos and I are leaving on Thursday to spend the summer at the beach. We probably won't be back until the end of August.
( Sweet hubby will be coming down for the weekends. I am a stay at home mama, but hubby has to work here in town. )

I have been sooo busy planning Sutton's first birthday party next month(a polka dotted pirate party :-) We are so excited our sweet cutie is turning one!!! They are both growing SO fast!!)
Anyway.... I almost forgot that I signed up to Vanessa's fun Mad hatter party.

My original plan was to go all out and have a fun Alice in wonderland themed picnic at the lake.

I don't really have time with everything else going on,but here are some fun ideas I might use for a party in the future :-)

Lots of great Alice in wonderland party ideas here

I love this sweet birthday party
Alice even showed up :-)

I adore these cookie cutters!

These Alice in Wonderland pics by Annie Leibovitz

This whole party is just adorable! I love all the templates she shares!! :-)

Having a party at the Disney Grand Floridian resort would be fun!

The mini cakes at this tea are so cute!

Pretty table via Country living

This festival looks so fun!! We might go next year. It is only a few hours north of us.

You have to check out the darling "Alice in Wonderlandia" pics here

Here are some links to adorable Alice in Wonderland finds on Etsy :-)

This necklace is sold already and the shop has nothing in it at the moment, but this necklace is so cool. It is inspired by a 'multiplane camera' used in traditional animation to give a 3-Dimensional effect.

Love this print

these prints are cute too.........

Like I said we are going out of town for awhile, but be sure to leave a comment or send me an email and I will catch up with you when we get back!!(There is a computer with Internet at the beach place, but I don't think I will be using it much)
Have a fantastic summer!!!

Huge hugs!!

I am probably one of the worst(if not THE worst) bloggers out there. lol. I always have so much going on that I want to blog about....places we have been, things I have made/bought/swapped etc. but there is just never any time.
I wanted to blog about 26 mile garage sale we went to at the beach not long ago(almost every house there has a garage sale and you can get really cool stuff for practically free.)

I got a HUGE box of stuff. Silver tray, tea pot and plate. (all real silver or silver plated.) gold candle holders with crystals(that I have since since painted black and then white and sanded. They look really cool) pretty plates from England. Brand new looking Rosanna stuff. I can't remember it all. I haven't gotten around to taking pics of any of it,but we had lots of fun. I got every thing for less then $15 :-)

Part of the reason I haven't blogged in a while is we have been on a really fun vacation. We went around Washington,Oregon,California,Nevada and Arizona.
We just got back. I just love vacations!! :-)
The pics I am posting aren't the best in the world. My father-in-law has a really good camera and he took most of the pics(put them on a disk and they should be here Friday)
These pics are ones I took. I can't wait to see the ones he took :-)

These pics are from a cute town Called Oatman in Arizona

Wild Burros walk through the town and you can feed them carrots. The boys loved them!!

(Lundyn and hubby's Mom)

Lundyn calls this type of cactus "ping pong paddles" (they call them that on an episode of Backyardigans. lol) He loves them!

These pics are from Lake Havasu

There are tons of huge fish and ducks that you can feed there(the orange one was my favorite :-)

In Lake Havasu I went to the CUTEST little shop!! So darling!! I loved it! The owners were just sweeter then sweet too :-) I so want to go back and spend lots of time/money there.
The pics below are from their blog :-) I always forget to take pics in stores.

they have a website too! :-)

I didn't take many pics of other towns we went to. :-(

I thought these windmills on some hills in California were cool. There were TONS of them!

A plant at my in law's house

interesting flowers near their house

The boys loved visiting the horses at a family friend's/neighbor's house

I hope you have a fabulous day!!!

I just love this gorgeous home!! The billowing fabric hung on the porch is a perfect touch!
The house is owned and decorated by Carrie and Charlie Raphael from
Raphael Designs.

Love the monogrammed chairs!

I love the pretty floral fabrics they have scattered around

The kitchen is fantastic!! Love the open shelves and chandelier!

darling buffet

lovely sitting area

pretty bedroom

This is my FAVORITE area of the house! They decorated it for their daughter.
I would love to decorate my little craft area or office area to look like this :-)
It wouldn't be hard and it is so pretty!!

(pics from country living)

Some cute pics of my darling sweetheart in a skull hat I made him the other day.
Aren't his eyelashes to die for???!!

Have a fantastic day!!!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend!! :-)
Ours was really nice. It was my darling hubby's bday on Saturday and of course Mother's day on Sunday.
The weather was fantastic and we had a lovely time.
Even though it was hubby's birthday on Saturday and he could choose anything that he wanted to do we had a REALLY girly day. lol. I kept telling him over and over that we should do something HE would enjoy, but he said that he wanted to see the Barn boys, beyond the garden gate farm sale(not far from the Barn house boy's sale. It was super cute there too :-)I got lots of cheap shabby chic vintage plates and vintage tickets) and the not too shabby store. (lol. somehow I think he was just trying to make me happy. Silly boy! :-) We did go out to eat where he wanted for breakfast and dinner. (We had a nice picnic lunch)
I had been super excited about going to the Barn boy's show on Saturday and I wasn't disappointed. It was GORGEOUS! Loved it! :-)
I love the area they live in too. Just stunning!
I used to live near there and it still feels like home when I go back.
I wasn't feeling great, was holding Sutton(adorable, but not the lightest chap in the world. lol) and Lundyn was fast asleep in the car with Daddy so I forgot to take any pics at the show :-(
I borrowed these pics from here and here (thanks so much for being better bloggers then me ladies!! :-)

There were lots of sweet chickens walking around and I kept hoping Lundyn would wake up so I could show him. He woke up 5 minutes after we left. Go figure! lol.

Tiffany took these pics below from the Barn boy's fall sale. She was too busy to come to this last show, but hopefully she can come to the next one! :-)
I was saying to her that it would be fun to have a get together with a bunch of northwest bloggers after the next Barn boys show and
have lunch and maybe a swap. She said that she would help plan one which is sweet because it sounds like so much fun! I had several blogging friends I wanted to see at the sale, but it didn't work out. Have a set place to meet might work better next time.

you can see more Barn house pics here and here

Anyway.... :-) I didn't take pics of anything I got from the Barn boys sale besides this sweet plant

I LOVE how they wrapped it in burlap.
I had a bunch of the flowers in the window and a hummingbird flew by the window. :-)

close up of the sweet flower my darling Lundyn picked me for Mother's day :-)

He picked 3,but this one was my favorite

What a little angel!!

I put together a bunch of faux flowers to hang above the window

I had been wanting to paint chalkboard squares on jars in the kitchen(so I could label and relabel things in the jars) I didn't have chalkboard paint(or the time/patience to paint the jars)
I saw some chalkboard decals at the dollar store(yes the dollar store :-)
so I cut them in to squares and stuck them on the jars! Sooo quick and easy! Plus, they can remove and re stick on other jars if I want them too!! Score!

I hardly ever take pics of the stuff I make, but I did take a pic of a necklace I made the other day

here it is hanging in my room

oh,by the way...check out my purse featured here. So fun! :-)

I hope you have a super wonderful day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
xoxo!!

Isn't this bathroom so pretty?

love the polka dot shoes!

(pics Eva Lindh)

We ordered some marshmallows the other day from here
They were really good. We got maple, chocolate and caramel.
I thought I would like the caramel ones the best, but my favorites were actually the maple ones.

(pics from Whimsy and spice)

I hope you have a fabulous day!!

We had a fun weekend :-)
We had a party for Lundyn at the Zoo.
I can't believe he is 2 already!! Time goes so fast!!

He loves Diego so we had a fun Fiesta party kind of day :-)

I didn't take pics of all the goodie bags and decorations(I put up lots of banners, paper lanterns, big bright colored paper flowers, streamers etc.)

Here are some pics from Lundyn's first birthday. I can't believe it has been a year already!!!

We had lots of fun at the zoo.

(Daddy was nice enough to dress him if you are wondering why he doesn't match. lol. I was busy doing party things, making muffins etc. :-)

Cute baby Elephant :-)

Not sure why Sutton was sad here, but he was all grins most of the time :-)

My friend Chelsea Ann was sweet enough to come to the zoo and spend the day with us.

She came up to my house the day before too and we ate and went for a walk with the kiddos and
we did a swap. She gave me a basket full of darling goodies! love it all! I will have to take pics of the stuff and post it later.)

Chelsea Ann took some pics of us all

Chelsea Ann and Sutton

Since it was a "Fiesta" we went out for Mexican

Lundyn loved the horse chairs :-)

At home we had cake and a pinata

Lundyn's real bday is tomorrow so we lots more fun things planned.
I hope you have a great day!!!!!!!!!!
hugs!!!!!!!!!!
Britt :-)

I hope everyone had a FABULOUS Easter!!! Ours was nice :-)
The boys had a lot of fun. They got lots of nice Easter baskets full of toys and treats from us,Jon's family and my family. My Mom even made the boys really nice blankets that they love.

We went to two Easter egg hunts. The first one was at the mall. We were running around all morning trying to get things ready. (Make sure the boys have blankets, burp cloths,food,drinks,diapers/pull ups,Binky's,toys, hats, socks, shoes etc. etc. etc.) Anyway,we got there a few minutes after it ended. Oh,well. The Easter bunny was still there so we took Lundyn up to get his pic with him. (The Easter bunny didn't seem to like being the Easter bunny much and didn't really seem to want to take his pic with Lundyn and took off before we could get poor Sutty out of his stroller for a pic with him. oh,well.lol)

Then we drove down to the beach hurrying big time to make it in time for an Easter egg hunt there that started at 1:00. As we were parking the car at 12:58. The millions of kids(slight exaggeration :-) all starting running. I was like "Are you kidding me?! We missed 2 Easter hunts in one day?!" lol. No worries. The kiddos are still too young to really enjoy running for Easter eggs with a bunch of other kids. Plus that place that was putting on the Easter egg hunt also had free big teddy bears for each child and juice and cookies. So it was fun. Plus we went to my parent's house(a street away from the Easter egg hunt) and had a egg hunt outside for Lundyn. (We had one inside for both the boys since it was a tiny bit wet outside and we didn't want Sutton getting wet crawling around on the grass.)

inside....

While we were at the beach we saw the cutest real "Easter bunny" at a nearby house. It was so tame! The people at that house have been feeding it for 3 years!

I have just been loving the nice weather we have been having!! I am enjoying the blue skies and hardly any rain :-)

We have been going to parks a lot and having fun :-)

(ok,about the swings...yes I am one of those kind of Mom's that disinfects everything. I have to wipe and spray everything the kiddos touch that is potentially icky(like the swing.lol) I have high chair covers for them, car seat covers and shopping cart covers, but no swing covers yet. lol)
While we were at the park I noticed that a lot of kids Lundyn's size or smaller were running wild all over the place(barely being watched at all by their parents) While there is no way that I am going to relax THAT much I realized that I have the boys in "plastic bubbles" sometimes. And yes they have never been in Daycare(or with a baby sitter) and have never really been sick or hurt, but I am over protective sometimes. I am working on the relaxing thing. I worked at a daycare for 12 years(and babysat for ages before that so of course I know that kids get hurt, but I want to keep my babies as safe as possible and I know that isn't alway realistic.)
I am sometimes too over protective and Jon is sometimes too "Oh,they are be fine!" and relaxed about things so luckily we meet in the middle :-)
With the swings I was like "oh my gosh you are pushing them too high!!" lol. (He really wasn't,but I still worry. lol) Luckily he humors me.

Isn't the park pretty?

playing soccer...

playing on the playground

Sutton on his new blanket I made him the other day. It is Leopard print fleece on one side and vintage chenille on the other.

I am really liking sewing(I used to be scared of it!! ) I have been making bunches of things for the boys. Tons of burp cloths. Lots with cute fabrics(skulls, vintage cowboy prints etc. :-) I would take a pic of them, but honestly I only take pics of about one percent of everything I make. lol. There is never enough time!!

Close up of the vintage fabric heart on the blanket

More Carousal pics(from a different carousal then last post :-)

fun rides at the mall

(his hair was in a Mohawk, but he wore a hat and it went wacky looking.lol) :-)

Notice that I dressed him in his "Arr! I'm 1!" Pirate shirt. I wanted him to use it one more time before he turns 2. I can't believe it is his birthday already next week!! Crazy!!!

I made some paper roses the other day.

they are fun to make

I decorated an Easter house

I did a lot other things for Easter that I never took pics of. One of the cutest(and easiest) was a bunch of Chocolate Easter bunnies in treat bags like the ones Heather did. Sooo cute!!
I told hubby that I was making ones like she made and he said "you are copying her?!"
I said "No! I was INSPIRED by her! Besides, she gave the instuctions how to do them! She wanted people to make ones like she did!" lol. :-)
I will leave you will some smiles from my cutie!! :-) (don't mind the icky high chair he is sitting in. lol. I have since made him a high chair cover that is much comfier and cuter :-)
Have a great day!!! hugs!!! Britt :-)
